Woodward Dream Cruise Giveaway: See the Classics, Take Home Modern Muscle

As part of the Woodward Dream Cruise, the Metro Buick Detroit Dealers Association is hosting a two-day event at the Athens Coney Island featuring live music, classic and concept cars and a two-year lease giveaway.
DETROIT, M.I. - Woodward Dream Cruise fans attending the 17th annual event will not only see classic cars cruising down historic Woodward Avenue, but they'll also have a chance to win a brand new vehicle lease.
The Metro Detroit Buick GMC Dealers Association will be holding a contest during which people can enter to win a two-year lease on a brand new 2012 Buick Regal or a 2012 GMC Terrain. Entries may be submitted during the dealer group's two-day event happening from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20. The event will be held at the historic Athens Coney Island located at 32657 Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, Mich.
The party atmosphere will feature live music, classic cars and future and concept vehicles. Woodward Dream Cruise attendees may enter to win either a 2012 Buick Regal or a 2012 GMC Terrain by filling out one of the entry forms at the Metro Buick Detroit Dealers Association booth that will be set up at the diner.
"This is our Metro Detroit Buick GMC dealer group's biggest event of the year, and it's open to the public," said Tom Moran, of Art Moran Buick-GMC and president of the dealer association. "Stop by to listen to some free live bands. See our past, present and future Buick GMC models including the all new 2012 Buick Verano and the GMC 'Concept' All Terrain GMC Sierra. Plus watch for our parade of 2011 Buick Regal Turbos Friday between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. up and down Woodward."
2012 Buick Regal
Buick offers two models with its 2012 Regal release, the GS and the Regal with eAssist option. The mild-hybrid technology of eAssist gives buyers an EPA-rated 25 mpg city and 36 mpg highway through the addition of a lithium-ion battery system and electric motor-generator to the vehicles powertrain. Regenerative braking recharges the battery and an engine shut-off feature conserves fuel during deceleration whenever the Regal stops. The Buick Regal with eAssist costs thousands less than comparable luxury hybrid vehicles, giving consumers a better return on their investment.
The GS model amplifies performance without sacrificing fuel economy. Featuring an Ecotec 2.0L engine delivering 270 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque, the GS model surpasses vehicles such as the Acura TSX V-6, Audi A4 Sport and others when it comes to torque. Other features include:
• Push-button start
• Leather-wrapped sport steering wheel with audio controls
• Leather, heated and 12-way adjustable sport seats
• Premium surround sound system
• Interactive Drive Control with Sport mode and GS mode
• Buick IntelliLink with Bluetooth and USB capabilities in addition to streaming audio through services such as PANDORA
2012 GMC Terrain
GMC IntelliLink is making its debut in the 2012 Terrain, featuring a seven-inch, full color touch screen that enables users to easily connect to their smartphone through USB or Bluetooth.
Other features include:
• Enhanced hands-free voice control system
• Standard rear-vision camera
• Standard XM Satellite Radio
• Programmable power liftgate
• Remote vehicle start
The two-day event at Athens Coney Island will give everyone attending the Woodward Dream Cruise a chance to win one of these two vehicles as well as the opportunity to get up close and personal with immaculate classics and see firsthand the latest concepts being released by GM.
